Birds

Birds in Australia are spectacular, both in variety and numbers. We have some of the most incredible birds on the planet. Unfortunately, many of these are endangered due to habitat loss or predation by introduced species.

I love having some of our most iconic and well-loved species in my immediate neighbourhood as inspiration. 

My approach to painting birds is most often expressive and loose. Exploring colour and texture rather than realism.
