Exhibitions

Where and when you can see my art hanging in an exhibition.

Traditional art is best seen in real life.

There is only so much that can be conveyed through the screen. If you would like to see my artwork in person, here is where you can do so. I’ll also include a brief outline of completed exhibitions.

Perinet Gallery

Toowoomba Art Society

31st May to 26 June, 2022

I’m very excited to have my first solo exhibition.

This will be a selection of works inspired by the Australian landscape and its inhabitants. Textural, colourful, and expressive.

Works created with watercolour, ink and acrylics in a variety of expressive styles.

Exhibition Opening

Saturday June 4th at 2pm.

I’ll be entering five paintings in the Toowoomba Royal Show happening at the end of March.

Due to covid restrictions, 2020 and 2021 were a bit challenging. combined with moving to Toowoomba and working full time, I didn’t have much time to work on exhibitions.

In 2020 The Cloncurry Show held an online show, most other local shows were cancelled due to covid. This allowed me to enter a few pieces remotely.

I picked up a few minor places but won the landscape with my landscape Isa St Showers. A watercolour painting of dramatic skies over the industrial skyline of the Mount Isa Mine.

In 2021 I entered a selection of works in the Toowoomba Royal Show. I was very surprised and please to win the Kenneth McQueen Memorial Watercolour Prize for the best watercolour in the show.

This was my first exhibition, held at the gallery at Outback at Isa from March to June 2020. It was as part of a local artist group,  Arts on Alma, a community arts group in Mount Isa.

Unfortunately, the exhibition opened the weekend that Covid closed everything down, so we missed our grand opening night and the gallery was closed for most of that time. It was so exciting though to be part of such an experience and I am so grateful for the friends I made and the encouragement I received from such an amazing group of artists.
